Position Title: President/Chairman (Officer)
Represents and speaks as spokesperson for Spanish Peaks Board of Realtors in Realtor organizations and the community. Supports the policies and programs adopted by the Board of Directors.
Position Impact:
Promotes interest and participation in the Spanish Peaks Board of Realtors by the membership. Lead the Board of Directors in making most operational decisions, work closely with the AE to implement operational decisions. Work with AE to develop detailed budget, determine budget adjustments as necessary. Develop and implement new member recruitment and retention programs. Plan, organize and implement networking and social opportunities for members. Foster relationships with the media, and local and government leaders.
Performance Standards:
Elected for a 1 (one) year term. Sets and presides over the Board of Directors and General Membership meetings. Attends all of the functions. Appoints all committee members. Sets goals and objectives and reports their achievement to the Board. Attend the Installation Banquet, C.A.R. Work closely with AE.
Qualifications:
Member of the Association. Able to be on call to represent SPBR on short notice.
Benefits:
Representing the Association as the official spokesperson, acting in the name of the organization. In such capacity, the President/Chairman will speak for the Association and not as an individual Realtor. Prestige.
Commitment Required:
Usually averages about 16 hours per month, plus out-of-town conferences and meetings.
Position Title: Vice President (Officer)
Serves as Chairman in the absence of the President/Chairman.
Position Impact:
Promotes interest and participation in the Spanish Peaks Board of Realtors by the membership. Works closely with the Chairman and the AE.
Performance Standards:
Elected for a 1 (one) year term. Attends all of the functions and has all of the responsibilities of a Director of Spanish Peaks Board of Realtors. Willing to become a member of a task force of at least once committee.
Qualifications:
Member of the Association. Able to be on call to represent SPBR on short notice should the acting President/Chairman be unable to.
Benefits:
Able to represent the Association, contact with Associations on a State and National level, prestige. Attend scheduled Board Meetings.
Commitment Required:
Usually averages about 12 hours per month, plus out-of-town conferences and meetings.
Position Title: Director of the Spanish Peaks Board of Realtors (Governing Body)
Ability to make policy decisions that direct the AE to operate the SPBR.
Position Impact:
Ability to make policy decisions that affect all of the Board and MLS operations.
Performance Standards:
Elected for a 3 (three) year term. Attends all of the functions and has all of the responsibilities of a Director of Spanish Peaks Board of Realtors. Willing to become a member of a task force of at least once committee.
Qualifications:
Member of the Association. Able to be on call to represent SPBR on short notice should the acting President/Chairman be unable to.
Benefits:
Able to represent the Association, make policy decisions along with the AE to operate SPBR. Gain knowledge of cutting edge changes regarding the MLS and other technological changes confronting the real estate industry.
Commitment Required:
Usually averages about 4 hours per month.
Position Title: C.A.R. Director of the Spanish Peaks Board of Realtors (Governing Body)
One of two CAR Directors, along with the President/Chairman, Vice President to represent the Spanish Peaks Board of Realtors at functions.
Position Impact:
Promote interest and participation in the Spanish Peaks Board of Realtors by the membership. Works with the President/Chairman, Vice President, AE and other C.A.R. Director.
Performance Standards:
Elected for a 3 (three) year term. Attends all of the functions and has all of the responsibilities of a Director of Spanish Peaks Board of Realtors. Willing to become a member of a task force of at least once committee.
Qualifications:
Member of the Association. Attend all C.A.R. meetings and conventions and make written / verbal reports at Spanish Peaks Board of Realtor Meetings.
Benefits:
Able to represent the Association at a state level, prestige.
Commitment Required:
Usually averages about 10 hours per month.
Position Title: Secretary/Treasurer (Officer)
Promote interest and participation in the Spanish Peaks Board of Realtors.
Position Impact:
Prepares data entry for meetings involving the minutes, the agenda and any other material the President/Chairman requests. E-mail Executive Board with necessary material. Reviews financial statement and works with the Finance Committee and AE. Assists AE with Tax preparation.
Performance Standards:
Elected for a 1 (one) year term. Attends all of the functions. Willing to become a member of the Finance Committee task force.

Member of the Association.
